Staying Home for Reading Week? Pack in Some Fun! - Esxoss Manway - Escape Room Games in Calgary

Reading week is a great opportunity to catch up on a little studying, but you should also think of it as a chance to squeeze some fun into your semester. All the stress from deadlines and juggling classes with work can take a lot out of a person. A break mid-semester to unwind and relax is often just what the doctor ordered!

Keep Your Brain Active.

You may not want to shut off your brain entirely mid-semester, and with an escape room adventure, you don’t have to! Our locked rooms are full of interesting puzzles and in-game interactions that keep you on your toes and always looking for the next step. We like to think of our escape rooms as the opposite of whatever boring paper your least favourite professor assigned you to read over the break. Instead of putting you to sleep, we keep your brain active and engaged.

Actually See Some People.

Now we’re not going to say university students have a tendency to become hermits, but when the deadlines are closing in, we understand that it can be hard to have a life outside of school beyond boiling water for ramen. While life as an introvert is great, it’s important to actually see and interact with other humans once in a while. We recommend scheduling an escape adventure with your friends, and if you don’t have friends, ask your lab partner and/or siblings. If you are the labpartner and/or sibling of a friendless student, do them a solid, and schedule the escape for them.

Have Fun!

One of the most important elements of reading week is preventing student burn out. Spending all day studying isn’t going to help with that at all! It’s important to get out and have some fun. Whether that’s partying, going to an escape room, having your party in an escape room, or something else entirely, make sure you take a few hours to relax and destress.

Jokes aside, reading week really is important for the mental health of university students. It’s necessary to actually spend time with people once in a while, or to just set aside homework for a moment and think about something else entirely. Want to escape your homework? Why not schedule a locked room adventure with your best pals? Call us today!
